The Central Trust Team has corporate responsibility for the overall formulation and implementation of strategies and policies approved by the Directors. It comprises the Chief Executive Officer, Director of Education, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Operations, Director of Human Resources and the Headteacher from each school.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) - Sean Tobin
The CEO’s role is to support the substantive Headteacher in their role and to assist in the development of staff across the schools and identify ways in which the Trust can facilitate, provide and develop school improvement. They are responsible for the day to day operation of the Trust and are accountable to the Directors.
Chief Financial Officer - Samantha Potter
The Chief Financial Officer and Director of Operations will report directly to the CEO of the Academy Trust. They will be part of the Senior Leadership Team at Trust level and will be expected to work in collaboration with senior leaders across the Trust. The core purpose of the role is to strategically lead and manage the business innovation and financial aspects of the schools and will play a significant role in meeting the needs of other schools that may consider joining the Trust in the future.
HR Business Partner - Angela Gooch
Reporting directly to the CEO of the Academy Trust, the HR Business Partner provides high level operational and strategic support to schools across our Trust. The HR Business Partner contributes to the development and implementation of the Trusts objectives and people strategy and leads on complex casework and other employee matters, as well as providing support to the HR Manager and HR Officers in schools.
Director of Education - Courtney Freese
To support the CEO with school improvement and Trust development. The Director of Education will lead the strategic and operational development of the Berlesduna Teacher Training Partnership, overseas NQT recruitment and development, line manages Trust educational support staff, mentors new Head Teachers and leads the Trust leadership pathways training.
Trust Improvement Lead - Nina Kemp
The Trust Improvement Lead plays a major role in supporting school improvement throughout the Trust, supporting the work of the CEO and DOE.
HR and Finance Manager - Catharine Davis
The Trust HR and Finance manager provides advice and support to the schools across the Trust with HR casework, manages the Trust recruitment and payroll functions as well as supporting the Business Managers and Finance Officers on financial policy and processes.
Senior Finance Officer - Antonia Marshall
The Senior finance officer undertakes financial, personnel and other administrative work to ensure an efficient and effective administrative service for the Trust.
Trust Finance Managers - Lorraine Dorsey, Louise Maynard and Anna Hyde
The Trust Finance Officers oversee financial arrangements and controls and assist the Headteachers in budget reviews, projections, setting and monitoring. The Trust Finance Officers also manage finance staff and financial matters as delegated by the Headteachers.
Recruitment and HR Support Administrator - Kerry Wallace
The Trust recruitment and HR support administrator ensures that all aspects of recruitment are carried out in accordance with statutory requirements, policy and safer recruitment practice including placing advertisements, taking up references, organising interviewing arrangements and paperwork for successful candidates, including issuing contracts.
Executive Assistant and GDPR Officer - Lisa Perry
Acts as an Assistant to the CEO ensuring the smooth running of the central team and the ongoing growth of the Trust including recruitment and retention of staff. Supports activities to develop and implement arrangements to enable the Trust to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR); to communicate the requirements of compliance and develop understanding across the Trust, and provide support to the information governance team to ensure institutional compliance with information legislation.
Trust Operations Manager - Ben Robinson
The Operation Manager organises and manages the Health and Safety, overseeing the operation and maintenance across multiple school sites in the Trust.
The Operations Manager leads the premises, administration and catering teams to ensure smooth delivery of service.
Trust IT Technician - Caroline Bellman
The Trust IT Technician helps to help run, manage and develop our ever-growing technology infrastructure.
